Celebrate Labor Day at Waterway Square in the Woodlands with Live Music, Entertainment, and Family Fun!

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Celebrate Labor Day in The Woodlands with two fun-filled nights of fireworks, live music, children’s activities and more Saturday, August 31, 2013 and Sunday, September 1, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Waterway Square.

The festivities kick off Saturday with the eclectic sounds of The Marlin Bando Band from 6 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. followed by The Elroys, playing the latest in rock and alternative sounds from 7:40 p.m. to 9 p.m. Immediately following the concert performances, the night sky will come alive with a dazzling fireworks display.

The fun continues Sunday with the classic rock sounds of Soulshine, from 6 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. Closing out the weekend celebration is local rock, pop and alternative trio Cold Shot from 7:40 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks once again will fill the night sky immediately after the second concert.

Plus, families will enjoy strolling entertainers as well as a number of vendors offering fun and games. Both fireworks shows will start at approximately 8:55 p.m., weather permitting.

“We invite families from around to region to join us in The Woodlands as we bid farewell to summer with fireworks, live music and fun for all at Waterway Square,” says Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Labor Day in The Woodlands is free and open to the public thanks to Wells Fargo, The Woodlands Development Company, The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, Kyle Sherburne – State Farm Insurance, Munday Chevrolet, Wright’s Printing, Kroger, Bud Light and Xfinity. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets and coolers to the celebration.

Paid covered parking is available at the 24 Waterway Parking Garage (located at corner of Fountain Plaza & Lake Robbins Drive), the Waterway Square Parking Garage (between Fountain Plaza and Woodloch Court) and the surface parking lot along the corner of Waterway Avenue and Timberloch Place. “Labor Day” attendees will also find limited, free curbside parking along Lake Robbins Drive, Waterway Avenue, Waterway Square Place, and Timberloch Place.
