Proposals for Catering Services on Waterway Cruisers Now Being Accepted

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau is seeking proposals to provide exclusive catering and catering management services on board the Waterway Cruisers operating on The Woodlands Waterway®.

The Woodlands CVB’s Request for Proposal (RFP) calls for a one-year agreement along with two consecutive one year renewals. The contract time frame is expected for January 1, 2014 through January 1, 2015.

Applicants must cater events on the Waterway Cruisers, handle reservations for catered events, secure and maintain proper licenses, insurance and legal documents and demonstrate a track record of superior guest satisfaction.

“Catered charters aboard the Waterway Cruisers have created a new experience, particularly for those visiting The Woodlands for a special event, a business meeting or a family get together,” says Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The ability to cater events on the Waterway Cruisers has created a new dimension to The Woodlands Waterway.”

Visual inspection of the cruisers for interested submitters will take place by appointment only. The appointments must be scheduled via email to Megan.Lichenstein@thewoodlandscvb.com. Sealed proposals will be accepted no later than Friday, October 18, 2013 at 5 p.m. Proposals may be mailed or delivered to Megan Lichenstein, The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.
