Market Street in the Woodlands Now Accepting Change for Charity Applications

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Four Montgomery County charities have the opportunity to benefit from the thousands of dollars in change inserted in Market Street’s voluntary parking meters as the shopping and entertainment destination begins to accept applications for its 2014 Change for Charity program.

Each year, four Montgomery County organizations are selected to receive a percentage of the funds collected from Market Street’s 68 parking meters during a three-month period.

Since the program’s inception, Market Street patrons have raised more than $75,000 for local Montgomery County charities, providing funds for organizations benefiting the health and welfare of children, adults and families in need.

Donations also are accepted the first Sunday of each month from 9 – 11 a.m. at Market Street during The Woodlands Car Club’s Cars & Coffee for a Cause when the club’s members present their spectacular cars while raising money for the Change for Charity organizations.

Non-profits interested in applying for the 2014 program should visit the Market Street website at www.marketstreet-thewoodlands.com to download the application or request an application from chamberguestservices@gmail.com. All forms must be submitted by October 31, 2013. Eligibility requirements also are available on the Market Street website.
