Second Annual Le Tour de Woodlands Cycling Event a Big Success!!

SECOND ANNUAL LE TOUR DE WOODLANDS CYCLING EVENT A BIG SUCCESSThe Woodlands, TX – The second annual Le Tour de Woodlands cycling event presented by Pentagon Freight Services was a big success with more than 400 riders cycling on two separate courses.  The event was held on Saturday, October 19 with the long and short courses beginning and ending at The Woodlands Township.  Each participant received an event t-shirt and fun family activities and refreshments followed the ride.
“We are thrilled at the success of this event.  It was wonderful to see so many families, individuals and cyclists come together to not only have fun but to support the important work Interfaith of The Woodlands does every day in our community,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.

The cycling event was open to both individuals and families, and the field included a four year old who completed the short course, and an 83 year old participant who finished the 20 mile long course.

“The Woodlands has always been a bicycle friendly community, and this event was a great opportunity for people living in The Woodlands to come together for a safe, fun ride while raising money for a great organization,” said Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack, Honorary Chair of the Le Tour de Woodlands.

Post ride activities included refreshments, massages for participants, face painting and other fun activities.  “Pentagon Services was honored to serve as the presenting sponsor this year, and we look forward to an even bigger cycling event in 2014.  Pentagon Freight Services is dedicated to supporting the communities where we work and live,” said George Booth, Vice President of Pentagon Freight Services.
