Students at Buckalew Elementary School Donate 661 Pounds of Food to Interfaith of The Woodlands Pantry

STUDENTS AT BUCKALEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DONATE 661 POUNDS OF FOOD TO INTERFAITH OF THE WOODLANDS PANTRYTHE WOODLANDS, TX – Third grade students at  Buckalew Elementary School held a school-wide food drive to benefit Interfaith of The Woodlands  Food Pantry.  The food drive was a community service project for the students, and 661 pounds of food was collected to help feed families in need.  “Doing the food drive made me happy because together we are helping people who are hungry,” said third grader Maren Northcott.

The students created posters for the school hallways, announced the food drive during morning announcements, and also created a video commercial to garner support.

“Interfaith is extremely grateful for the support of the students at Buckalew Elementary.

This incredible donation of food will enable Interfaith to feed the many families that come to us for help during the holidays,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.
