THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Thanksgiving holiday came early for more than 155 area seniors who enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings hosted by Interfaith of The Woodlands.    Held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the South County Community Center, the seniors enjoyed music, games, and a special performance by the students from the Interfaith Child Development Center. “We are thrilled to be able to provide a traditional Thanksgiving meal to our senior neighbors, it is a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to celebrate Thanksgiving and have the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with each other,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.

On hand to help serve the holiday meal were board members, community leaders, and staff from Interfaith of The Woodlands. “Seniors are many times a part of our society that gets left out, and we wanted to show them that they are special, and this celebration is a fun way to do just that,” said Ray Sanders, Interfaith of The Woodlands Board Member. Residents from throughout South Montgomery County who participate in activities at the South County Community Center were invited to enjoy the feast which was provided by Luby’s Cafeteria.
