THE WOODLANDS, TX – On December 19, 2013, eighty members of The Woodlands High School Lady Highlanders Soccer Team spread holiday cheer to seniors living at the Copperwood Senior Apartment Complex on Tuesday, December 17.   More than 110 residents enjoyed the festivities which included holiday presents, cookies, door prizes, and special ornaments created by the players and presented to the seniors during the party.  “I am extremely proud of these girls and how hard they have worked to make this celebration special for our area seniors. I know it means a lot to the girls to be here, and we hope it means even more to the residents in attendance,” said Lisa Baeckel, Lady Highlander Soccer Booster Club Vice President.

Copperwood residents also enjoy caroling with music performed by The Woodlands Sweethearts.  “It is always wonderful to see our area youth giving back to the community.  The Lady Highlanders did a terrific job of making this a special celebration for our seniors,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.
