THE WOODLANDS, TX – At times, caring for a loved one can become a challenge for caregivers. Interfaith of the Woodlands would like to extend a helping hand to those caregivers by offering the 2014 Spring Caregivers Conference, a free, full day of informative workshops for the caregivers in our community.

Hosted by Interfaith Senior Services and Interfaith Carepartners®, the conference will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 8:30 am to 2: pm at Christ Church United Methodist located at 6363 Research Forest.

A wide variety of classes are offered including the popular classes “Elder Law” and “Engaging Activities”. In addition, classes including “The Unexpected Caregiver”, “Caregiver Depression”, “Helping Aging Loved Ones”, and many more are offered.

Additionally, free respite care for a loved one is provided so participants can attend the workshops.

“Providing care to a loved one who is ill, physically or mentally challenged, or elderly can be a difficult job,” shared Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “At the conference, caregivers come together to learn more about resources, legal information, and taking care of themselves while taking care of a loved one.”
