THE WOODLANDS, TX – Start your summer with two nights of spectacular fireworks displays, presented by Wells Fargo, at the annual Memorial Day Weekend Celebration in The Woodlands on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, 2014 at its new location of Town Green Park. The free, family-friendly event is produced by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau and will also feature live music, vendors and kid’s activities from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Wells Fargo is now in its fourth year as a presenting sponsor of the fireworks shows on Memorial Day Weekend in The Woodlands and operates 8 branches throughout The Woodlands area.

“Wells Fargo is passionate about its commitment to help our military service members.  For example, we have committed $30 million over the next three years to support military service members and veterans through real estate-owned property donations and nonprofit program support,” said Shelley Hancock, Wells Fargo district manager.  “Serving as a sponsor for the Memorial Day event is one more way for us to show our support.”

Each evening, families are encouraged to bring picnics and coolers to enjoy a “picnic on the green.” On Saturday, May 24, the event will feature the live music sounds of The Knowhow from 6 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. followed by Will Makar & The Redline 7:40 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Sunday, May 25, attendees can enjoy the tunes of The Buck Yeager Band from 6 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. and Leannasaurus Rex from 7:40 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday May 25.
