Interfaith Community Clinic Names Susie Shipley 2014 Woman of Distinction

Susie Shipley(1)THE WOODLANDS, TX – Interfaith Community Clinic is excited to announce Susie Shipley has been selected to represent the clinic at the 2014 Women of Distinction Luncheon. The annual luncheon celebrates the accomplishments provided by volunteers to local organizations throughout the year.

“After retiring from Eli Lilly & Company, Susie began volunteering at the clinic, putting her 15 years of pharmaceutical knowledge to use in the Patient Assistance Program area as well as coordinating fundraising efforts to raise money and awareness for the clinic. She is dedicated and passionate about the mission of the clinic and is very deserving of this special recognition,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of the Interfaith Community Clinic.

An active member of the community, Susie has served on many charitable committees including the Five Who Share Luncheon, and The Woodlands Celebration of Excellence Gala. This past year, Susie helped to start a middle school swim team program at Trinity Klein Lutheran School for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

A twelve year resident of The Woodlands, Susie teaches youth and adult Sunday School classes, confirmation classes, has served in various capacities of church leadership as well as participating in mission trips.

The 2013 Women of Distinction luncheon will begin at 10:30AM on Friday, May 24th at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center.

Interfaith Community Clinic (ICC) opened its doors in 1996 to meet the medical needs of the uninsured population. The clinic provides quality basic medical and dental care, counseling and patient services to individuals in need. A volunteer staff of licensed physicians, nurses, medical providers, dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists, as well as translators and support personnel work together to provide patient care. Programs are provided free of charge and are funded by the generous financial support of grants, faith based organizations, businesses, civic groups, and individuals.
