The Woodlands Ice Rink Kicks Off the Holiday Season With Special Preview Weekend November 15 – 16, 2014

THE WOODLANDS, TX  – Be one of the first to skate on the ice this holiday season during a special Preview Weekend of The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center, presented by Planet Ford in partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital, on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday, November 16, 2014 from noon – 7 p.m.

Produced by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Ice Rink is one of the largest seasonal outdoor ice rinks in the southwest and will again be located at the northeast corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines Drive.

Following the Preview Weekend, The Ice Rink will open daily Saturday, November 22, 2014 through Monday, January 19, 2015 with operating hours Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday, 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.; and Sunday, noon – 7 p.m. The Ice Rink will also be open during Conroe ISD school holidays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Weekday two-hour skate sessions are $9.50 for adults and $5 for children 5 and under. Weekend sessions are $10.50 for adults and $6 for children 5 and under. All prices include skate rental fee. Helmet and walker (children’s skate trainer) rentals also are available.

A separate kid’s ice rink also will be available for children five years old and under.
Besides its regular operating hours, The Ice Rink will host a number of promotions and special skate nights.

This year’s Ice Rink is presented by Planet Ford and in partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital.
