The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau Wins Four Pinnacle Awards From International Festivals & Events Association

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau once again was recognized with multiple Pinnacle Awards from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA), the premier association supporting festival and event professionals worldwide.

The Woodlands CVB received a Gold Pinnacle Award for its newsletter, Current; a Silver Pinnacle for its monthly e-newsletter; and Bronze Pinnacles for its Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/VisitTheWoodlands, and for the 16th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival & Fireworks Extravaganza event program.

The IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards competition recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and top-quality creative, promotional and operational materials produced by festivals and events around the world.
“It’s always gratifying to be recognized by our peers in the festival and event planning industries,” notes Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands CVB. “We always strive to host the best events and produce the finest materials representative of our community. These awards certainly validate our efforts.”

Sponsored by industry leader Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, the professional competition draws entries from among the world’s top festivals and events.
U.S. festivals earning IFEA recognition include the Kentucky Derby Festival, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, the Portland Rose Festival, Fiesta San Antonio and the 500 Fest of Indianapolis, Indiana.

International contenders included such diverse event organizations as the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands; Misteria Paschalia Festival in Krakow, Poland; Hero Insolito in New Delhi, India; World Gourmet Summit, Singapore; Festival Lent, Maribor, Slovenia and the Seoul Cartoon & Animation Festival in Seoul, South Korea.
