Considering how great the NBA playoffs were last year, it’s pretty incredible to think that the 2015-2016 NBA season is just a little over 2 months away. While the Houston Rockets 2015 postseason run ended prematurely, it is clear the Rockets have a lot to build on after their Game 5 loss to the eventual world champion, Golden State Warriors. So when will the Rockets get their next crack at the defending champs? Well, ask and you shall receive. The NBA gods have spoken by releasing their 2015-2016 schedule on Tuesday and the Rockets get their first crack at the Warriors in just the second game of the season on October 30th. I am literally salivating at the thought. Well, maybe not literally. But definitely figuratively.

The Rockets 2015-2016 season officially begins on October 28th at home against the Nuggets. The Rockets will play this game without Dwight Howard, who is missing the game due to a one game suspension he incurred in the playoffs last year. New Rockets point guard, and Denver’s prodigal son, Ty Lawson will also almost certainly miss this game, and likely more, if he is suspended by the NBA for his most recent DWI transgression.

The Rockets will have plenty of the national spotlight by garnering 19 primetime games (10 on ESPN, 7 on TNT and 2 on ABC, respectively). These games include a Christmas day tilt hosting our I-10 rival, San Antonio Spurs and a New Year’s Eve bash hosting the Warriors.

The NBA season is almost upon us, ladies and gentlemen! For full schedule details, please see the link below from NBA.com.
