Although there were ten slots to fill for the semifinal rounds, Texas Star event owner Donna Wick of Wicked Publicity opened up a “wildcard slot” and eleven contestants made it through.

There are two more Fridays of preliminary rounds – on October 23 and 30 – before the semifinal rounds on November 6 at Papa’s Ice House in Spring. The competition is presented by Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands.
