After a long hard campaign of giving it their best, three of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors candidates running for election waited for the news to break at an election watch party at La Trattoria Tuscano restaurant. The watch party had many locals in attendance including Commissioner James Noack, Gordy Bunch, Steve Toth, Bill O’Sullivan, Montgomery County Tea Party as well as friends and families of John McMullen, Laura Fillault and Matthew Burton.

We’d like to congratulate John McMullen, Ann Snyder and Laura Fillault on their new Township Board of Directors Positions.

Each candidate spoke their thoughts on the election results after they were announced and gave short speeches.

John McMullen stood up and gave a short speech thanking The Texas Patriots Pac for their tireless, tireless work on their the candidates behalf. He also thanked The Montgomery County Tea Party as well as Steve Toth.

Matthew Burton who was in attendance was slightly defeated by opponent for Position 6 Ann K Snyder, with a 6% difference. Matthew was a good sport about his run and wished the other candidates well.

Erin and I thank everyone who supported me during this race! My primary goal in this process has always been to disrupt the status quo as much as possible, and although we came up a few votes short, I feel like we accomplished this goal overall.” – Matthew Burton
Laura Fillault who was running against and is preceded by Bruce Tough, who held The Woodlands Township Board of Directors Chairman positions said she was grateful to all of her supporters throughout her campaign
“Everybody here, I thank all of you; because you all have done phenomenal things, this is not just me, this was a huge team effort so thank you very much. People that did work at the polls, people that made phone calls, people that just told their friends to come vote for me and promoted me and people that voted, both the Texas Patriots Pac who had the voters guide and they were out there every day and The Montgomery County Tea Party who gave me their support and “holy cow” I beat Bruce Tough. So thank you, and now all of you have to hold me accountable to what I’m doing and I will be seeking you all for wisdom and input because this is not something I’m going to be able to do all by myself.” – Laura Fillault”
The Montgomery Country Road Bond Proposition also passed 63.36% to 36.64 with Proposition 1 failing 31.25% to 68.75%
