Motion picture and television icon, Chuck Norris, will appear in person at a public election rally in The Woodlands on Monday, February 15, at 6:30 p.m to show support for Jim Napolitano.

Chief Jim Napolitano said Norris confirmed today that he would like to visit personally with county voters.

He is traveling to Montgomery County specifically to encourage voters to support Napolitano’s campaign for Montgomery County Sheriff in the upcoming Republican Primary.

Napolitano is a former U.S. Secret Service Special Agent and current Chief of Police of the City of Montgomery. Norris and Napolitano have developed close ties due to their mutual interest in international security matters and the Norris-founded Kickstart Kids organization.

The major campaign rally, titled “Trigger The Vote,” will be staged at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Convention Center, complete with a live band, refreshments, games, voter information, ancillary exhibitors, political oratory, special performances, and prominent guests.

Chuck Norris fans of all ages and families from throughout Montgomery County will be welcomed with a full program of information and excitement. Napolitano’s campaign materials point out that he has been; “Trusted to protect our nation, guard four U.S. Presidents, and is ready to move from Secret Service to Public Service.” He and Norris believe that Chief Napolitano’s unique international experience and intense special training will bring “A New Era of Law Enforcement to Montgomery County.”

The election rally on Presidents’ Day, Feb. 15, will kick off at the convenient time of 6:30 p.m. with most schools closed for the holiday and many parents do not work on the legal federal holiday. Early Voting in the primary election begins the next day, February 16, and continues through February 26. Election Day is Tuesday, March 1. With a large crowd of Chuck Norris, Republican voters, and Napolitano supporters expected, public guests are being encouraged to park free at the The Woodlands Convention Bureau’s multi-story parking garage across Six Pines Road from the Marriott Hotel. A bridge spans Six Pines from the parking garage to provide direct entrance to the hotel. Elevator service is available at both terminal points.

Chuck Norris is an international television and film star, who has starred in 23 motion pictures such as “Delta Force,” “Code of Silence,” and “Missing in Action.” His television series, “Walker, Texas Ranger,” ran for more than eight years on CBS with 203 episodes.
