Ironman Texas officials recently announced that the triathlon will return to The Woodlands in 2017.

The Woodlands will once again roll out the red carpet for the event that so many men and women train extremely hard for every year, and others come from all over the world to watch, speculate, cheer on and be a part of.

Some residents over the last few years have complained of road congestion in and around The Woodlands when the event comes to town, since it draws such large audiences from all over, but I’m sure a larger percentage of residents would miss the event, than those who complain about it.

swimming, 112 miles of cycling and 26.2 miles of running will use a new flat and fast route via the Hardy Toll Road through Harris County this year after issues last year arose because of road construction.

Last year’s race was amazing and exciting and we can’t wait to see what this year’s Ironman brings to The Woodlands.
