It is in the best interest for safety and security of spectators, participants, volunteers, vendors, sponsors and venues that the South County 4th of July committee has come to the difficult decision to cancel the 43rd Annual 4th of July Parade.

“We realize this is a disappointment for everyone involved; however, we would rather err on the side of caution than put anyone in harm. This is the first parade in over two decades that has been canceled” said Kelly Dietrich, President of the South County 4th of July Committee.

Multiple forecasts, including one from the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, have called for heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds to occur the morning of July 4th. At this time, the parade is not rescheduled.
