Whitney Montgomery, a local resident of The Woodlands area since 1980, will be competing for the title of Mrs. International 2016 in just a few weeks in Jacksonville, Florida.
Montgomery previously competed and won the title of Mrs. Texas International 2014 and now holds the current title of Mrs. Southeast International 2016.
Whitney is a woman of grace and conviction who puts her boundless energy towards many different roles of wife, mother, healthcare provider, CASA volunteer, social editor for The Woodlands Lifestyles and Homes, and a pageant title holder.
Montgomery’s platform “Fostering Love, Fosters Life” was born out of her own experience.
Whitney explains, “Holding a baby in my arms who had been the victim of child abuse, I was terrified of what the future might hold. The reassuring presence of that child’s dedicated CASA volunteer was proof that a constant in a child’s life can literally give them a hope and a future. Our CASA was with the baby through every court hearing, visitation, and family planning meeting. She was an unbiased voice who acted in the best interest of this innocent baby.”
According to Montgomery, “My mission is to help provide every abused and neglected child with an advocate, and ultimately a loving home with their forever family.”
As a board certified physician assistant in neurology, healthcare has always been important to Whitney. She enjoys helping patients live their lives to the fullest. Always having a thirst for knowledge, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Rehabilitation from Stephen F Austin State University and a second Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
She and her husband Seth adopted their son through the foster care system. When they aren’t watching their daughters compete in competitive cheer, they love traveling, and trying out new and fun activities to stay physically fit as a family. They teach their children by example to make a difference in their community and to always give back to others.
As Mrs Southeast International 2016 (and hopeful Mrs International 2016), Whitney’s goal is to continue recruiting CASA advocates nationwide so together we can give a voice to every child. She believes that we can stop the cycle of child abuse – one child at a time.
